We were not surprised to see Burrington’s burst of success in Exeter following the recent statistics shared within the Property Awards Magazine produced by Michelmores solicitors. This shows Exeter has sustained the largest growth rate in the South West increasing by a tremendous 47%. See below graphic for surrounding growth rates.

Following recent restrictions imposed by Coronavirus, we have seen a big shift in property requirements with home offices and gardens at the forefront of many homebuyer’s property search. Rightmove recently reported national sales agreed are up 50% on October last year, and Rightmove now estimate’s there are £650,000 sales going through the buying and selling process, 67% more than at the same time in 2019.
Rightmove also reported a 106% uplift in sales agreed and a drop of 23 days to secure a buyer in the price bands of £400,000 -£500,000 following the recent stamp duty holiday.
It has also been said buyers that were temporarily uncertain in the run-up to to the new lockdown in England have jumped back into action, with the first six days of the second lockdown seeing demand up by 49% on this time last year.
